History: Born
in the small country town of Dvent, Torrens grew up
as the son of a soldier. Being one, naturally, he was
given a sword at an early age. However, his hands could
never quite grip the hilt correctly. At first, this
was taken to be the result of his young age and inexperience.
As time passed by and his father decided it was time
for him to put his skills to the test, Torrens faught
against another boy with blunted swords. Needless to
say, he was unable to swing his blade at all. Though,
because of his training, he could handle a weapon when
it was not aimed at any living thing, he would be unable
to handle one in combat.
His parents gradually realized their son's inability
to weild a weapon and allowed him to study medicine
as he turned thirteen. From then on, the rest was history.
He learned, forgot, and turned to common sense and the
strength of the human body - with a little magic. Torrens
traveled for most of his years among groups of travelers
as their physician before finally becoming known enough
to succeed as the Royal Surgeon. |
